Jan Warnke’s first album „Antagonist / Agonist“ is the latest work by the key figure behind the experimental noise label Geräuschmanufaktur. Like on his former projects he explores the abstract ideas of metaphysical evolving: glacial ambient sound structures combined with various explorations of noise balance the fragility of the concrete individual's capacity. This dichotomy has never been more present than on „Antagonist / Agonist“ where all these elements are more separated from previous recordings than ever before. His older works under the J.Adolphe moniker shifted between darker or lighter sounds, electronics, field recordings and cut-up samples of filthy sex flicks. „Antagonist / Agonist“ emancipates itself from the voyeuristic outbursts of violent contrasts and chaotic dissonance into a more accentuating avantgarde, focused on sensory experience.

"Antagonist / Agonist" will be out on the 1st of April in an edition of 50 beautiful assembled cassettes.
Each side will feature an additional remix by Jan Warnke's brethren Thorsten Soltau and Olivier Prieur.
